World Cancer Research Fund International has updated their Nourishing policy database. It now holds over 400 policy actions from 127 countries, and more than 80 evaluations. The NOURISHING framework has been developed to highlight where governments need to take action to promote healthy diets and reduce overweight and obesity. According to the WHO obesity and being overweight are the most important known avoidable causes of cancer after tobacco.

Included in this database update are 14 new and 11 updated policies. Two new countries have been added:  Brunei and New Caledonia and three very recent policy actions which have come into effect since February 2017: Brunei and Malaysia launched the Healthier Choice Logo, and Brunei implemented an excise duty on sugary drinks.

You can access the NOURISHING database through ICCP here.
