Action plan for the elimination of cervical cancer in Canada

17 Nov 2020

November 17, 2020 marks the launch of the WHO‘s Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer, outlining three key steps: vaccination, screening and treatment. Successful implementation of all three could reduce more than 40% of new cases of the disease and 5 million related deaths by 2050.

In Canada, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer is celebrating the launch of the global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer with the public release of their new Action Plan for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer in Canada, 2020–2030. The plan is available on the portal in both English and French.
