Belgium’s National Cancer Control Plan 2026-2036

12 Oct 2026

The newly launched Belgian National Cancer Plan 2026-2036 is now available on the ICCP Portal. The plan sets out Belgium’s vision for cancer control over the next ten years through 34 actions spanning prevention, early detection, treatment, survivorship, and quality of life. It aims to improve access to care and expertise, support responsible adoption of innovation, and strengthen support for people living with and beyond cancer.

The plan also addresses key challenges facing cancer control, including the rising incidence of cancer, increasingly complex diagnosis and treatment pathways, and the growing need for integrated care. Progress on implementation will be monitored and evaluated throughout the 2026-2036 period.

You can access the plan here in French and in Flemish.
