Kenya National Cancer Control Strategy 2023-2027

The National Cancer Control Strategy 2023-2027 has been launched in Kenya with the aim of addressing the significant burden of cancer and enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients. Building on the lessons learnt from the previous 2017-2022 strategy, the new plan is structured around five key pillars encompassing:

  1. Cancer Prevention and Early detection
  2. Cancer Imaging, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Diagnostic Services
  3. Cancer Treatment, Palliative care and Survivorship
  4. Cancer Advocacy, Coordination, Partnerships and Financing
  5. Cancer Strategic Information, Research, Registration and Surveillance.
