The article discusses the objectives and method of development of the summaries, their format as well as usage. The main points of each summary are addressed.

The Knowledge Summaries for Comprehensive Breast Cancer Control (KSBC) are the product of a multi-year collaboration led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), Breast Health Global Initiative (BHGI), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and Center for Global Health (CGH) of the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Fourteen knowledge summaries have been developed as a tool to help policy makers identify and prioritise resource appropriate interventions across the continuum of care. The Knowledge Summaries draw on current evidence and best-practice. Each summary focuses on a different element of planning, prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and care and can be used as standalone Summary to check and challenge current activities or collectively as a series to design a new comprehensive strategy.

The Summaries are available on the ICCP portal here.
