The recently launched Latin America and the Caribbean Code against Cancer is the first Regional Code that adapts the model of the European Code Against Cancer under the IARC initiative of the Framework for a World Code Against Cancer, to develop recommendations for cancer prevention directed to the region, taking into account the specific contexts in terms of risk factors, health systems and social inequalities in the Latin American and the Caribbean Region. The Latin America and the Caribbean Code against Cancer includes recommendations for decision-makers at the level of health systems and health service providers, in addition to recommendations for the general population.
The Code is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
