The National Cancer Control Plan of Benin

The National Cancer Control Plan of Benin 2024-2028 (Plan National de Lutte contre les Cancers au Bénin 2024-2028) is now available on the portal. 

The Plan aims to build a resilient and efficient cancer care system that ensures continuous access to integrated, high-quality services for all individuals throughout their lives. Its goal is to reduce cancer-related morbidity by 25% and mortality by 10% by 2028. The plan is structured around four strategic pillars: improving infrastructure and medical resources; expanding decentralised, integrated cancer care services; strengthening the healthcare workforce; and enhancing governance, partnerships, financing, and health information systems. It aligns with international and regional health commitments, including universal health coverage and non-communicable disease control.
