Physical inactivity is one of the major risk factors for non-communicable diseases, including cancer. The International Society for Physical Activity and Health (ISPAH) has produced a series of materials to support advocates in calling for greater commitment and investments to reduce physical inactivity, and highlighting the need for cross-sectoral action. These materials include the Toronto Charter for Physical Activity: a global call for action, and Guidance on the best investments for increasing physical activity, and are available on the ICCP. portal Additional 21 language versions can be accessed here: http://www.ispah.org/resources-1/
For regular updates on the work of ISPAH or for more information, visit www.globalpanet.com. There is also a searchable knowledge base that contains a wealth of information on physical activity, from case studies and guidelines, to policy documents and research articles.
