Resources on Cancer Early Diagnosis and on Implementation Research in the Prevention and Control of NCDs

A new resource published by WHO titled “Guide to Cancer Early Diagnosis” has been added to the portal. This guide is aimed at policy-makers and programme managers to help them understand cancer early diagnosis, how to establish or strengthen services and how it early diagnosis is different from screening.

Another new resource from WHO titled “A guide to implementation research in the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases” is now available through the portal. This technical guide aimed mainly at policy makers and everyone who is responsible for NCD prevention and control at national level was designed to improve implementation research for prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases. The publication features necessary elements for implementation research: identification; adaptation; evaluation; and scale up of policy or intervention.
