The Utility and Value of National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) Across the Economic Spectrum

A recording of the recent NCCN 2023 Global Policy Webinar Series: The Utility and Value of National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) Across the Economic Spectrum is now available on the portal. This webinar organized by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), an ICCP partner, explores the core elements of an evidence-based National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP), as well as similarities and differences of NCCPs across the economic spectrum of countries, from high-income to lower-middle low-income countries. Additionally, it focuses on implementation research, impact of NCCPs, and lessons learned, with a focus on determining value inside of NCCPs and what NCCPs consider “valuable” and why. Other policy elements of determining value and utility in global health care systems (Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Health Technology Assessment, etc.) are explored. Finally, this webinar explores WHO ‘Best Buys’ and other recommended interventions for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
