To strengthen global cancer control efforts, the WHO Academy has launched a new course: National Cancer Control Planning for Programme Managers. This course is designed for individuals engaged in strategic cancer planning at national and sub-national levels, including policy-makers, technical experts, funding partners, civil society representatives, and other key stakeholders.
Participants will gain essential knowledge, skills, and competencies to lead effectively, ensure sound governance, and develop evidence-based national cancer control plans that are both context-specific and practical to implement. The course underscores the importance of aligning cancer initiatives with other health programmes and integrating them within the broader ministerial health strategy.
