Webinar: Policy actions to address nutrition, obesity and non-communicable diseases

On 18 March, Dr. Corinna Hawkes presented an overview of progress in policy action over the past few years set within the context of the NOURISHING Framework, with examples of the problem of inaction, lack of implementation, and barriers to progress. Dr. Hawkes provided an overview of the available evidence for policy showing that we better need to understand how food policy actions work in order to understand how to design them to be more effective. She also shared conclusions about how we can better design effective policy to address obesity and NCDs, and what is needed to make that happen.
