Framework on integrated people-centred health services
At the Sixty-ninth World Health Assembly, WHO Member States officially adopted the Framework on integrated people-centred health services (IPCHS) and its resolution on “Strengthening integrated, people-centred health services”.
“The Framework on integrated people-centred health services calls for reforms to reorient health services away from fragmented models, towards models that put people and communities at their centre, surrounded by responsive services that are coordinated, both within and beyond the health sector. Recognizing that health systems are highly context-specific, the Framework does not propose a single model for integrated and people-centred health services. Instead, it proposes five interdependent strategies, relevant to all country settings and varying development status, but that will ideally all need to be adopted in order for health service delivery to become truly integrated and people-centred.” (source: http://www.integratedcare4people.org/about/)

During the WHA the IntegratedCare4People web platform has been officially launched. Jointly set up and managed by the WHO and the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP) in its capacity as WHO Collaborating Centre on Integrated Health Services based on Primary Care, the platform is a global network for sharing knowledge and leading practices, and for joint learning on transforming health services to become more integrated and people-centred. Aimed at practitioners and organizations, this web platform is divided into three main sections: Resources, Practices and Communities allowing for browsing through a repository of documents, scientific publications etc., sharing experiences of implementing people-centred health service reforms and interacting and discussing with peers.
