The International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership (ICBP) Phase 2 Impact Report demonstrates how international cancer research can influence policy, clinical practice and health system improvement. Through survival benchmarking and exploratory research across seven countries and 21 jurisdictions, ICBP generated evidence on cancer outcomes, diagnostic pathways and treatment access. Its findings informed national cancer strategies, strengthened cancer registry systems, supported investment in diagnostic services and highlighted inequalities in cancer care. The report emphasises the importance of sustained stakeholder engagement, comparable data, international collaboration and translating evidence into action. These lessons provide a foundation for Phase 3's continued focus on improving cancer outcomes and equity.
